Cutting-edge approaches in the management of osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures
Osteoporosis,characterized by decreasing bone mass and microstructural deterioration,signifi-cantly increases the risk of fractures.Osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF)is the most common and debilitating complication of osteoporosis,which is typically caused by a decrease in bone density and quality.The di-agnosis and treatment of OVCFs is a multidisciplinary challenge that requires collaboration among various disci-plines,including orthopedics,endocrinology,rehabilitation,etc.With advancements in medicine and innovations in technology,the therapeutic approaches for OVCFs are continuously optimized.The authors comprehensively reviewed the latest diagnostic and treatment methods for OVCFs based on the current research findings and clinical experi-ence,to summarize and prospect in this paper the cutting-edge minimally invasive treatment options for OVCFs.
