Based on the big data of million-level on-line recruitment,this paper measures the development level of platform economy at the city level in China.Combined with night light data and macro data of cities,this paper studies the impact and internal mechanism of platform economy development on urban economic growth and internal disparity from 2016 to 2021,and adopts the spatial Durbin model to test the spatial spillover effect of platform economy.Research shows that plat-form economy can significantly promote urban economic growth while reducing internal disparity.The conclusion is still valid af-ter a series of robustness tests.The mechanism analysis of inter-nal disparity indicates that this effect can be realized by promo-ting the allocation of market resources and breaking down infor-mation barriers.Spatial analysis shows that although the devel-opment of platform economy is conducive to promoting local eco-nomic growth,it will be transmitted to neighboring areas through conditions such as similar economic level,similar industrial structure and geographical proximity,resulting in siphonic effect.In regions with a high level of digitalization,local and spatial spillover effects are more obvious.Based on this,coun-termeasures and suggestions are put forward to implement the normal supervision of platform economy,promote the connectivi-ty and cooperation of platform economies,and bridge the digital divide through multiple measures.
