Study on Recognition of"Sites of Memory"in Traditional Villages and Their Multi-Scenario Conservation and Renewal
Traditional villages are cultural heritages with diverse values.Extensive tourism development leads to problems such as tourist-centered subject transfer and village homogenization. Therefore,by introducing the theory of"sites of memory",this paper constructs a multi-scenario protection and renewal framework guided by the recognition of the"Cognition-Preference-Behavior"feature in the multi-subject space.Taking Xiaozhou Village in Guangzhou as an example, this paper analyzes the spatial characteristics of sites of memory of villagers, artists, and tourists.Based on three renewal scenarios including life narrative, cultural catalyst, and tourism commemoration, and from the perspectives of spatial layout planning, public space node construction, and traditional building restoration,a protection and renewal plan is proposed,so as to provide theoretical and methodological references for the adaptability and sustainable development of traditional villages in China.
