Exploring the Method of Urban Growth Boundary Delineation from the Perspective of Regional Integration—Taking Suzhou as an Example
As the national process of regional integration accelerates,how to cope with the gravitational effect of urban growth across administrative regions becomes one of the challenges for urban growth boundary(UGB)delineation in the next stage.Taking Suzhou as an example,this paper proposes a"classification-factors-simulation"approach to UGB delineation.The study used region,city,district,county,and parcel level data to sort out the spatial types of parcels in the city,explore the urban growth rules of every type,and simulate the UGB.The paper aims to provide decision support for the refined and scientific delineation of UGB in cities and counties,and to realize high-level spatial governance.
