A study of early enteral nutrition support on prognosis of acute myocardial infarction patients with severe heart failure
Objective:To investigate the effect of early enteral nutrition support on the prognosis of patients with acute myocardial infarction with severe heart failure. Methods:The data of 86 patients with acute myocardial infarction combined with severe heart failure admitted from May 2019 to May 2021 were retrospective reviewed.According to AGI scores, they were divided into parenteral nutrition group and early enteral nutrition group, with 43 cases in each group. The general demographic characteristics, nutritional status before and after treatment[prealbumin(PA)and serum albumin(ALB)],cardiac function indicators[left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),left ventricular end-systolic diameter(LVESD)and high ejection fraction rate(PER)]and serum amino-terminal brain natriuretic peptide precursor(NT-proBNP)levels were compared between the two groups,i.e.the rate of ICU transfer to the general ward and the survival rate, were analyzed. Results:There was no statistical difference in nutritional indexes between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment, the levels of PA and ALB in the two groups were higher than before treatment, and the levels of PA and ALB in the early enteral nutrition group were higher than those in the parenteral nutrition group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the level of cardiac function index between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).After treatment,LVEF levels in early enteral nutrition group were higher than those in parenteral nutrition group,LVESD and PER levels were lower than those in parenteral nutrition group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the level of NT-proBNP between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The level of NT-proBNP in early enteral nutrition group was lower than that in parenteral nutrition group(P<0.05).After treatment, the rate of ICU transfer to general ward and survival rate in early enteral nutrition group were significantly higher than those in parenteral nutrition group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Early enteral nutrition support can effectively improve the nutritional status of patients with acute myocardial infarction with severe heart failure, promote cardiac function recovery, and increase the survival rate.
