Effects of trace amounts of Co2+-Si4+combined substitution on the gyromagnetic and rectangular loop properties of polycrystalline garnet microwave ferrite
Polycrystalline samples of yttrium iron garnet(YIG)were prepared by conventional technique.The effect of trace amounts of Co2+-Si4+combined substitution on the electromagnetic and square-loop properties of GdCaSnV-YIG,GdCaZrV-YIG,GdCaInV-YIG and GdAl-YIG materials was studied.The results show that coercivity of Co2+-Si4+substituted GdAl-YIG increases significantly,while for Co2+-Si4+substituted GdCaSnV-YIG,GdCaZrV-YIG and GdCaInV-YIG,can regulate their coercivity and remanent magnetisation ratio.The coercivity 0.17 Oe of GdCaSnV-YIG is obtained when the Co2+-Si4+substitution is 0.015,the coercivity 0.23 Oe of GdCaZrV-YIG is obtained when the substitution is 0.025,and the remanent magnetisation ratios of all the three samples reach 0.79 or more when the substitution is greater than or equal to 0.035.
