The Ka-band high-power waveguide isolator for satellites failed during the power tolerance test under vacuum. The results show that the adhesive layer used was over-gassing,forming a local low-pressure environment and causing breakdown discharge failure.According to the structural characteristics of the isolator, the failure analysis is carried out to determine the failure cause of the isolator and carry out the fault recurrence, which provides guidance for the subsequent process improvement and improves the quality reliability of the high-power waveguide isolator for satellites.
