Feasibility Analysis of Graded Teaching in College English Teaching in Medical Colleges—Taking Guangxi Medical University as a Pilot Study
Currently,many comprehensive higher education institutions in China are carrying out the requirements of graded teaching and course classification to address the problem of"high input and low efficiency"in college English education.However,the adoption of this model in medical colleges is not yet widespread.This paper focuses on the reform of college English teaching in medical universities and presents the findings of a one-year pilot study on graded teaching conducted in six freshman classes during the 2021 academic year at Guangxi Medical University.Through questionnaire surveys and interviews,the study analyzes the effectiveness of the graded teaching mode for medical students.The research indicates that graded teaching has a significant positive impact on students'learning motivation,academic performance,and psychological well-being.This paper elabo-rates on the specific practices,highlights the problems identified,and suggests improvements for the graded teaching reform.It is hoped that this study will provide useful insights and serve as a reference for further development of graded English teaching in medical universities.
