The demand for high-level applied talents in the socialist modernization has promoted the development of professional degree graduate education. In order to accelerate the adjustment of the national talent structure and better promote the development of graduate students majoring in safety science and engineering, this paper examines the ways to achieve the quantitative increase and qualitative increase of the graduate students in safety science and engineering. From the formulation of graduate enrollment plan, the coordination of university-enterprise education, the improvement of talent training system, the construction of a strong teaching team, to ensure the number of safety engineering graduate students and the supervision of disser-tations.
