Research on the Development and Assessment of Premier Science and Humanities Curriculum System in Higher Vocational Education under the"Golden Course"Initiative
The current curriculum system in higher vocational education for science and technology humanities faces several challenges,including outdated course content,uniform teaching methodologies,and constrained assessment approaches.This study,inspired by the"gold class"initiative,has developed a revamped curriculum framework.This new structure focuses on an integration of humanities fundamentals with practical applications,information technology,college-level English,Huxiang regional culture,and advanced mathematics.Additionally,it introduces a comprehensive evaluation system that assesses students'academic achievements,practical skills,and innovative capabilities.An empirical study conducted within the mold-making program at a technical vocational college in Hunan has demonstrated the effectiveness of this updated curriculum.The study also offers counter-measures and suggestions to strengthen the training and support of the"gold class"concept.
