Exploration and Practice of the Integration of College Students' Innovative Abilities Cultivation with Academic Competitions
Cultivating college students'innovation ability is an important part of benchmarking against the innovation-driven development strategy and promoting high-quality development of higher education under the current new situation. It is also an important task in the reform and development of higher education. Meanwhile,academic competitions of college students are an important way to carry out practical teaching,and also an effective method of cultivating of students'practical and research abilities in higher education. It plays an irreplaceable role in implementing innovative education,cultivating innovative talents,and promoting teaching reform in universities. In recent years,it has become a hot topic in higher education research and reform that colleges try to explore and research college students'innovation ability cultivation through academic competitions. This paper takes the integration of innovation practice and academic competitions as its approach,explores and practices in various aspects,such as,improving the mechanism for cultivating college students'innovation ability,constructing an organizational and management system for college students'innovation training and academic competition activities,strengthening the interaction and transformation between discipline competitions and college students'science and technology clubs,between academic competitions and talent cultivation,and between teacher research projects and academic competitions. It is shown by the statistics that these explorations and practices have a significant effect on promoting innovation and practical abilities of college students.
