Facing national technological development and industrial transformation,the construction of new engineering disci-plines has emerged,and cultivating high-quality talents in the new era is an important responsibility of higher education.The innovation training program for college students is currently an important part of talent cultivation in universities.Still,there are still problems such as insufficient understanding and imperfect system during the guidance process.This article aims to improve the project execution quality and the level of scientific research talents cultivation under the construction of new engineering disciplines,exploring an efficient guidance plan for innovation training programs for the undergraduates of the materials major.The contents cover ability cultivation,topic setting,evaluation system,etc.,which is of great significance for an efficient guidance system.
