Cultivating the scientific creativity of middle school students is a key goal and task of basic education.Scientific creative thinking is the core of scientific creativity,and the evaluation of scientific creative thinking can provide a basis for the cultivation of creative talents.Using the PISA2022 Creative Thinking Test tool,397 15-year-old middle school students were selected from 7 schools in 6 cities in Guangdong Province for measurement.The results showed that the overall scientific creative thinking of this group was relatively weak,with only a small number of highly creative individuals;Low technical literacy and materialization ability,lacking awareness and ability to comprehensively apply knowledge from multiple disciplines to solve problems.In order to enhance the scientific and creative thinking of middle school students,it is necessary to fully carry out technical courses to cultivate their technical literacy,conscientiously implement the updated compulsory education curriculum plan and curriculum standards in 2022,improve students'materialization ability through primary school science courses,carry out interdisciplinary learning in middle school science courses,and cultivate students'individual scientific and creative thinking while also cultivating their team creativity.
