NOx Emission of Marine Medium Speed Diesel Engine Based on GT-POWER
Based on GT-POWER performance model, the NOx emission reduction analysis was carried out on a marine medium speed diesel engine with cylinder bore/stroke of 200 mm/300 mm. The linkage between intake pressure, valve timing and changes in emission characteristics of the diesel engine was established to determine the program to reduce the NOx specific emission value of the diesel engine. The results show that by adjusting intake pressure and timing, better emission performance of the diesel engine can be achieved. By verification on the real engine, replacing the intercooler and turbocharging system can reduce NOx emissions by 15.8%,which provides reference for engineering application.
