异质性企业协同集聚增强城市创新活力了吗?

摘要
在新旧动能转化及创新驱动发展战略的背景下,聚焦于以制造业和生产性服务业表示的异质性企业协同集聚,探索其对城市创新活力发挥的能动作用具有重要的现实意义.基于2005-2021年城市和企业两个层级的面板数据,使用双固定效应模型、中介效应模型和空间杜宾模型进行系统性分析,发现异质性企业协同集聚对城市创新活力产生显著的正向影响,且表现出明显的区域、城市行政级别、资源禀赋和细分行业的异质性.异质性企业协同集聚产生的空间溢出效应,随地理距离阈值增加而呈现出以900km为界线先促进后抑制的特征,且存在1 300km处的衰减边界.机制表明,上游供应商多元化、下游客户多元化和供应链配置多元化是异质性企业协同集聚促使城市创新活力上升的渠道.市场潜力和制度环境作为互补性条件,发挥"放大镜"作用,能增强异质性企业协同集聚的城市创新活力效应.研究结论为跨行业企业协同集聚、深化产业分工任务和驱动城市创新活力上升提供有益见解.
Abstract
Given the ongoing transformation of old and new kinetic energy and an innovation-driven development strategy,exploring the effect of synergistic agglomeration of heterogeneous enterprises(manufacturing and productive services)on urban innovation is of great practical significance.This study employs panel data at the city and enterprise levels from 2005 to 2021 and the double fixed-effects,mediated-effects,and spatial Durbin models to show that the collaborative agglomeration of heterogeneous enterprises has a significant positive impact on urban innovation,and there is obvious heterogeneity in effects by region,city administrative level,resource endowment,and industry segmentation.The spatial spillover effect generated by the collaborative agglomeration of heterogeneous enterprises with an increase in the geographical distance threshold shifts from positive to negative at the boundary of 900 km,and there is an attenuation boundary at 1 300 km.The mechanism suggests that upstream-supplier diversification,downstream-customer diversification,and supply-chain-configuration diversification are the channels by which the collaborative agglomeration of heterogeneous enterprises impacts urban innovation.Market potential and policy environment as complementary conditions have a magnifying effect,which may enhance the urban-innovation effect of heterogeneous enterprises'collaborative agglomeration.The findings provide useful insights for the collaborative agglomeration of cross-industry enterprises,deepening industrial division and driving urban innovation.
