Design of piston pin bore and piston pin for inline 4-cylinder light-duty diesel engines that meet China Ⅵ vehicle emission standards
Due to the failure issues of piston pin bores in light diesel engines,four schemes for pis-ton pin bores and piston pins of inline 4-cylinder light-duty diesel engines that meets the China VI ve-hicle emission standards are designed.Finite element analysis software is used to simulate and calculate them,and the contact stress and fatigue of the piston pin bores,as well as the strain and fatigue of the pis-ton pins,are compared.At the same time,to verify the accuracy of simulation analysis,three schemes are subjected to hydraulic impulse testing based on actual conditions.The test results are in good agree-ment with the simulation results,which can provide reference for the design and failure improvement of high-strength diesel engine pistons and piston pins.
