The influence of different testing conditions on CH4 and N2O emissions from automotive diesel engines
Taking a certain China VI vehicle diesel engine as the test object, the emission charac-teristics of CH4 and N2O in exhaust gas under different boundary conditions were analyzed and studied through the China VI world harmonized steady cycle(WHSC)and cold and hot world harmonized tran-sient cycle(WHTC)bench tests. The results show that as the exhaust backpressure increases, the WHSC specific emissions of N2O gradually increase.Under the cold and hot WHTC,the specific emis-sions of N2O show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing, while the specific emissions of CH4 first decrease and then increase in both cycles. In the WHSC,as the intake resistance increases, the specific emissions of N2O increase, while the specific emissions of CH4 decrease. In the cold and hot WHTC spe-cific emissions,N2O shows a decreasing trend, while CH4 first increases and then decreases. In the WHSC and cold and hot WHTC,the emission concentration values of CH4 are in a disorderly fluctuation state, while the N2O concentration will peak when the load suddenly increases, and the variation pattern of their concentrations is independent of the boundary conditions.
