Preliminary Study on Observing Shoots Growth of New Tea Strains
Vegetative propagated 25 different tea germplasms were grown in mountain 2 of Tea Research Institute, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The spring shoot growth periods were investigated from 2011 to 2013. The results showed that the germplasm 0312B was considered as an extra-early sprouting tea germplasm, and the germplasms 0314I、0318G、0318H1、0318H2、0318E、0213-1 and 0309C were considered as the early sprouting tea germplasms because of the spring shoot growth periods were over 10 days and 5 days earlier than that of the control cultivar “Fuding-dabaicha”, respectively.
