Analysis of the Design Features of the"Asymmetry"Element in Hainan Miao Women's Clothing and Its Evolution
The traditional clothing of Miao women in Hainan is an independent type of Miao women's clothing in China,but little is known by the outside world.This papers finds that the design of Hainan Miao women's clothing has a prominent"asymmetry"element,which is mainly manifested in the front of the top being long on the left and short on the right,and the open front of the wax dyed skirt.However,this"asymmetry"is filled by the complementary design of the top and bottom skirt.Hainan Miao women's clothing has a unique style of half covering and half revealing.It is a product that adapts to the unique geographical living environment and social and historical development conditions of the Miao ethnic group in Hainan.At the same time,in response to the phenomenon of changes in the traditional clothing styles of contemporary Miao women in Hainan caused by this"asymmetry"element,an analysis and reflection were conducted from the perspective of the rheological laws of living intangible cultural heritage.
