The Study of Salt Industry History Museum Experiential Design Based on Children's Cognitive Psychology
The Zigong Salt Industry History Museum is a public cultural institution that integrates education, aesthetics, and interactivity, serving as a crucial avenue for children to receive education on brine culture. This paper, based on children's cognitive psychology and the Expectation-Event-Impact(EEI)model,delineates the experiential design framework from the perspective of children's cognition. It combines the current state of the Salt Industry History Museum to summarize the experiential forms for children during the operational stage.Furthermore, through unstructured interviews and user journey mapping,it extracts the experiential requirements and pain points for children in the context of the Salt Industry History Museum from the lens of children's cognition. Finally, departing from the perceptual, cognitive, and mnemonic aspects,it proposes an experiential design strategy tailored to children with the aim of enhancing its educational function and promoting a comprehensive understanding of brine culture, thus deepening children's perception and comprehension during the operational stage.
