Research status of TiO2 composite coatings prepared by thermal spraying
Titanium oxide(TiO2)composite coating has excellent wear resistance and corrosion resistance,which is often used for surface protection of key mechanical parts.According to the relevant literature at home and abroad,the effects of spraying process and spraying parameters on the comprehensive service performance and mechanical properties of the coating are summarized.The relationship between the preparation method of titani-um oxide composite powder and the quality of the coating is described,and the effects of TiO2,oxides(Al2O3,Cr2O3,ZrO2),carbon(CNT,GN),and carbides(SiC,WC)on the comprehensive performance of the coating are analyzed.We draw some conclusions a as follows.First,TiO2 particles can inhibit the transformation of α-Al2O3 to γ-Al2O3 during spraying,thus improving the wear and corrosion resistance of the coating.Second,TiO2 can re-fine the coating grains to improve the toughness of the coating and reduce the microcracks caused by stress con-centration.Third,TiO2 has a low melting point and is fully melted after heating,which can play a role in sealing pores,thereby improving the compactness of the coating and reducing the porosity.According to the performance characteristics of titanium oxide composite coating,the development direction of coating performance improve-ment was discussed.
