Research on the strategic environment of petrochemical enterprises under the dual carbon goals
As the concept of dual carbon goals continues to deepen,the transformation and upgrading of petrochemical enterprises has become a significant measure for China to achieve its dual carbon goals.To investigate the strategic environment of petrochemical enterprises,this study constructs an analytical framework for corporate strategic environments and employs analytical methods such as PESTN,Five Forces Model,and the SPACE analysis methods.The findings reveal that the macroeconomic competitiveness of petrochemical enterprises lies between a secondary and primary advantage,with certain strengths,though not prominent.In the midstream and downstream sectors,competition among existing competitors is intense,while the threat from from potential entrant is relatively low.The threat of substitutes is substantial,suppliers possess strong bargaining power,and buyers have moderate bargaining power.The strategic positoning of petrochemical enterprises leans toward a defensive strategy.Finally,it is proposed that promoting the transformation and up grading of energy enter prisesisan important direction of futurer esearch.
