Tire force analysis considering the stress distribution characteristics in the ground area
In order to control the vehicle more accurately and predict the state of the vehicle,a modified tire brush model considering the actual stress distribution in the ground area is proposed.Firstly, the finite element model of 205/55 R16 radial tire is established by ABAQUS software, the tire statics verification platform is set up,and the static validity of the finite element model is verified by radial stiffness method.Secondly,by changing the finite element load and tire pressure, the vertical stress distribution data of the tire grounding blot area in the X-center and Y-center line were obtained. The stress distribution formula is fitted using Matlab fitting toolbox, and the formula of the contact surface is fitted considering the weight coefficients in the X and Y directions. Finally, the stress distribution of the contact surface is substituted into the brush model to optimize the calculation of the tire slip zone.Comparing the optimized model with the initial brush model and the magic formula model, the results show that the modified brush model can estimate the longitudinal and lateral force of the tire more accurately.
