摘要
湘乡方言谚语简短凝练、寓意深远、形象通俗易懂、便于记诵和传承，不仅反映了湘乡方言的特点，还记载了湘乡独特的生产生活方式、自然环境和民俗风情，承载着湘乡独特的地方文化。从隐喻认知的角度对湘乡方言谚语进行解读，着重指出其认知功能和语言学功能。
Abstract
Xiangxiang dialectical proverbs are short and concise ,meaningful and profound ,vivid and popu-lar ,and easy to memorize and inherit .It not only reflects the characteristics of Xiangxiang dialect ,but also records the Xiangxiang unique productive and living mode ,the natural environment and the folk culture .It is the crystallization of people’s life experience and wisdom ,which holds Xiangxiang’s unique local culture .This paper elucidates the Xiangxiang dialectical proverbs and emphasizes its cognitive and linguistic functions from the per-spective of cognitive metaphor .
