Based on the ELES model,a study was conducted on the changes in the consumption struc-ture of urban and rural residents in Hebei Province from 2013 to 2021.From the marginal propensity to consume,it can be seen that with the improvement of living standards,the consumption of urban and rural residents in Hebei Province is gradually shifting from"basic needs"to"moderately prosperous".The anal-ysis of changes in consumption structure shows that,except for a few years,the overall consumption structure has not changed much and is relatively stable.By analyzing the entropy of consumption struc-ture,it is found that the overall consumption quality of urban and rural residents in Hebei Province is rela-tively high,but the upgrading speed of consumption structure is relatively slow.Based on the analysis re-sults,recommendations have been proposed to increase resident income,optimize the consumption envi-ronment,expand new types of consumption,adhere to promoting urban-rural integration development,and improve the social security level of rural residents.
