Application of Folk Art Elements in Illustration Design Under the Background of the Integration of Culture and Tourism——Take the Integrated Development of Culture and Tourism in Cangzhou Section of the Grand Canal as an Example
As a product of the combination of art and commerce,modern illustration is characterized by emphasizing the breadth and timeliness of information dissemination on the basis of taking into account the public aesthetic preferences.Driven by scientific and technological in-novation and social economic transformation,China's contemporary illustrations show the development trend of diverse media and forms as well as connotation nationalization.China has acquired a vast array of intangible cultural heritage over its long history.Becausese of their characteristics of folklore,regional fea-tures and context,the folk art elements in the intangible cultural heritage are widely used in illustration design,which can meet the needs of our time and can be in line with current trends.The application of folk art elements not only enriches the content and form of modern commercial illustrations,but also im-prints distinctive regional cultural labels on its design.In the integration and development of culture and tourism in the Cangzhou section of the Grand Canal,the illustration designs for the promotion of culture and toursim,based on the local folk arts such as pyrograph,stone inscription and paper-cutting,are suc-cessful cases of the ingenious application of folk art elements in illustration design.
