"The Epitaph of Zhang Di and his wife Liu Yiren in Lintao Prefecture,Shanxi in Ming Dy-nasty"is an epitaph written by Zhu Yanxi,a grand secretary of Wanli and Tianqi dynasties in Ming Dynas-ty,for Zhang Di,a former magistrate of Lintao Prefecture.The epitaphis of high culture and historical value.It records Zhang Di's life story,deeds and official experience in detail,filling in some missing infor-mation of documentary records.Ittouches upon some historical details of the imperial politics and local so-ciety in the late Ming Dynasty,making it a valuable historical document.The epitaph provide reliable his-torical information for the study of the Lu-Xi official family and regional society,contributing to the com-prehensive understanding of local society.
