The"national treasure"level historical artifact,the Iron Lion of Cangzhou,is unfortunately relying on internal and external supports to"stand."Analysis through documentary research reveals that the main reasons for the Iron Lion losing its ability to"stand on its own"are the unscientific handling dur-ing the displacement and restoration processes.Comparing traditional craftsmanship and modern technolo-gy,the path to restoring the Iron Lion's ability to"stand on its own"includes:using a certain medium to connect the lion's abdomen and limbs into a whole to ensure stability while"standing";constructing a spa-cious and sturdy structural space to protect the Iron Lion from damage caused by natural environments such as rain erosion,sun exposure,and wind erosion.
