During the period of the comprehensive anti-Japanese war,the New China Daily and the Liberation Daily,as the official newspapers of the Central Committee of the Communist Party(CPC)of China,were the mouthpieces of the Party's concept of anti-Japanese resistance.The Communist Party of China made full use of its media communication role by publishing important speeches from leaders,com-memorative articles,editorials,and coverage of grand commemorative events to commemorate"May Day."The commemoration of"May Day"is an important method for the Communist Party of China to clarify the position and responsibilities of workers,to strive for and safeguard their interests,to express anti-Japanese propositions,to interpret the discourse of resistance,and to call for international assistance.The Commu-nist Party's commemoration of"May Day"awakened the anti-war consciousness of the working class,pro-moted the development of the national resistance,and strengthened the connection between China's resist-ance and the international labor movement.
