A Study on the Spatial Distribution and Seasonal Changes of NDVI in Northern Anhui Based on Long Time Series
As an important grain base, monitoring the dynamic changes of vegetation in northern Anhui region in the context of rapid urbanisation is of great significance for the sustainable development of the urban agglomeration. The spatial distribution and change trend of vegetation cover in northern Anhui region throughout the year and seasons were systematically analysed for 21 years using long time series of MODIS-NDVI data from 2000 to 2020.The results showed that the spatial centre of gravity of NDVI in northern Anhui had a trajectory from summer to autumn, then to spring, and finally to winter, and gradually shifted to the north, and the vegetation in the south had a more sensitive response to seasonal changes than that in the north;in the time-series analysis, the monthly mean values of NDVI had a sig-nificant bimodal characteristic, with peaks occurring in April and July-August,and valleys focusing on the period from November to January of the following year;In terms of the annual trend,69.9%of the vegetation cover of the like yuan showed an improving trend, and the spatial centre of gravity of NDVI shifted eastward by 1.4 km;in terms of the seasonal change, the spring, autumn and winter showed a significant increasing trend, and the change in the summer was insignificant, with a large difference be-tween Huainan City and other cities. The results of the study can provide for the ecological environment construction and management in northern Anhui and even the wider region, and promote the sustainable development of the regional ecological environment.
