Application of 3D Printing Model Combined with CBL and PBL Teaching Model in the Standardized Training of Residents in Cardiac Surgery
Objective: xplore the application effect of 3D printing model combined with case-based learning (CBL) and problem-based learning (PBL) in the teaching of clinical standardized training of cardiovascular surgery. Methods: Forty-five physicians receiving standardized resident training were selected as research objects, according to the admission time, they were divided into control group (n=21) and observation group (n=24).The control group adopted the traditional teaching model (LBL), and the observation group adopted the 3D printing model combined with CBL and PBL teaching model. The theoretical written test, skill operation, clinical case analysis and the students' satisfaction with the teaching mode were compared and analyzed between the two groups at the end of the standardized training of cardiac and vascular surgery. Results: There were no significant differences in age and human resources examination scores between the two groups (P>0.05). The discharge score (90.75±3.97) and case analysis examination score (93.12±4.13) of the observation group were higher than those of the control group (86.33±5.55) and (86.95±4.14), respectively, and the observation group was significantly better than the control group in the evaluation of satisfaction with teaching in terms of interest in and efficiency of learning, comprehension and mastery of the teaching knowledge and the spirit of teamwork, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions: The application of 3D printing model combined with CBL and PBL in the standardized training and teaching of residents in cardiac surgery can significantly improve the theoretical and case analysis ability of students, and improve the satisfaction of residents with clinical teaching, which is worthy of further promotion.
