Correlation between Serum Inflammatory Factors and Sperm DNA Fragmentation Index in Patients with Idiopathic Oligonasthenospermia
Objective:To investigate the correlation between serum inflammatory factors and sperm DNA fragmentation index in patients with idiopathic oligonasthenospermia.Methods:A total of 120 patients with idiopathic oligoasthenospermia were selected as the observation group,and another 100 men with normal semen analysis were selected as the control group.The sperm DNA frag-mentation index and serum inflammatory factor levels of two groups were detected and compared.The sperm fragmentation index un-der different age,abstinence duration,sperm motility and other characteristics of the observation group were compared.Linear re-gression was used to analyze the correlation between serum inflammatory factor levels,sperm motility,concentration and sperm DNA fragmentation index of the patients with idiopathic oligonasoospermia.Pearson correlation test was used to analyze the correlation be-tween serum inflammatory factors and sperm DNA fragmentation index in patients with idiopathic oligonasoospermia.Results:Serum IL-10,TNF-α,and sperm DNA fragmentation index in the observation group were higher than those in the control group.The sperm DNA fragmentation index of patients with sperm motility≤20%and sperm concentration≤10×106 mL-1 were higher than that of patients with sperm motility>20%and sperm concentration>10×106 mL-1.Linear regression results showed that serum in-flammatory factors,sperm motility and sperm concentration were correlated with sperm DNA fragmentation index in idiopathic oligo-nasoospermia patients(P<0.05).The results of Pearson analysis showed that serum IL-10,TNF-α and sperm DNA fragmentation index were positively correlated(P<0.05).Conclusion:Serum IL-10 and TNF-α are positively correlated with sperm DNA frag-mentation index in patients with idiopathic oligonasthenospermia.The increase of serum IL-10 and TNF-α levels will damage the integrity of sperm DNA and lead to the increase of sperm DNA fragmentation index.
