As the development of post-modern archival science,archival narrative has become a new trend.Due to the different research angles and starting points,the concept of archival narrative remains undefined,and acomprehensive system has yet to be established.The clarification of the underlying logic and elements of archival narrative helps us to understand the archival narrative more clearly and grasp the development trend.The diversity of archives,the textualization and datatization archives constitute the inner driving force of archival narrative,the individualization of user demands and the construction of national narrative system have become the external pull,and the subject and object practice of archival narrative have formed the intermediary connecting the internal and external forces.The elements of archival narrative include narrator,narratee,narrative content,narrative medium and narrative purpose,with implicit narratives embedded throughout the process of archive formation,preservation,and utilization.The digital narrative of archives has become the mainstream trend both currently and in the future,Participants in archival narration should cooperate to strengthen the management of the whole process of archives,integrate and present archival information resources,so as to realize the purpose of preserving archival memory and inheriting historical culture.
