Decoloring test of Populus wet wood was conducted and some factors affecting color values of decoloring wet wood were investigated with orthogonal test method. The examined factors include decoloring temperature, decoloring time, concentration of reagents as well as their mutual effects. Results showed that two prescriptions were good, and the best processing parameters were as follows: oxidants of NaClO 12% , H2SO4 0. 03% , decoloring for 24 h at 50 ℃ ; reducing agents of Na2S2O3·5H2O 12% , C2H2O4·2H2O 0. 1% , decoloring for 8 h at 25 ℃.
