Influence of Wet/Dry Cycle on Soil Microbial Activity and Community Flora in Broadleaved Korean Pine Forest in Changbai Mountains
An experiment was conducted to study the dynamic changes of CO2 concentrations, microbial activities, and community flora in soil in a broadleaved Korean pine mixed forest in Changbai Mountains under different wet/dry cycle by treating the soil samples with different gradients of water in lab. Results showed that microbial activities decreased with soil water content decreasing, but the changing range tended to be slow with time prolonging. Fungi and actinomycetes increased, while bacteria decreased with soil water content decreasing.
