Substance Transformation and Endogenous Hormone Changes in Fraxinus mandshurica Seeds During the Process of Release from Secondary Dormancy
A study was conducted to discuss substance transformation and endogenous hormone changes in Fraxinus mandshurica seeds in secondary dormancy induced by high temperature during the process of release from secondary seed dormancy. Results showed that lipase activity and fatty acid content in the F. mandshurica seeds increased rapidly, β-amylase activity improved evidently, and soluble protein and soluble sugar dissolved faster during the process. The ABA content decreased constantly, and the ratios of GA3 to ABA, IAA to ABA, ZT to ABA were all raised markedly. The correlation between substance transformation and endogenous hormone was obvious. The endogenous hormones in F. mandshurica seeds play a very important role in the process of release from secondary dormancy in seeds.
