Succession of Platycladus orientalis Forests Promoted by Supplementary Planting of Native Tree Species and Its Short-term Effect
The goals and principles of promoting the succession of Platycladus orientalis forests were given based on the actuality of P. orientalis forests and the need for social development. The standards for intermediate cutting and tending as well as the forest gap opening in the forest were determined. Moreover, the planting and management of native tree species and their allocation modes were also put forward. All the tree species grew well and the plant diversity increased after the forest alteration. The landscape quality was obviously improved, and an aesthetic value of the forest had begun to take shape.
