Effects of High Temperature Stress on Physiological Indexes of Eucommia ulmoides Seedlings
In order to study the changes of osmotic substances , protective enzyme systems and photosynthetic parameters of Eu-commia ulmoides seedling under high temperature stress , and provide physiological basis for screening of fine varieties of Eucommia ulmoides, we observed the changes of proline (Pro) content and malondialdehyde (MDA) content, superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and peroxidase (POD) activity, and photosynthetic parameters of three clones after high temper-ature and low temperature processing 10 days, respectively.Pro content of leaves of Eucommia ulmoides seedling could be improved under high temperature stress .MDA content of Eucommia ulmoides seedling showed an increased trend under high temperature stress , however, different clones had large difference , and MDA content under low temperature were far lower than that under high temperature .SOD activity were quite different under different temperature treatment with a steady growth higher trend in low temperature .POD activities of three clones were reduced under high temperature .Net photosynthetic rate and stomata conductance were reduced under high temperature .Intercellular CO 2 concentration of Eu-commia ulmoides seedling were increased to different degrees under temperature treatments .Transpiration rate were in-creased substantially under high temperatures .
