Extraction and Change of Vegetation Coverage of 2007-2010 in Northeast China
Combining the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) derived from MODIS data with two component linear mixed model (FVC), vegetation fraction during from 2007 to 2010 in Northeast China and its spatio-temporal variation rules were estimated and analyzed for vegetation coverage changes in Northeast China. The results show that: (1)FVC in Northeast China was at a high level with the average of above 70%, presented a distribution characteristic of lower in west and higher in east.(2)In 2007-2011, annual maximum FVC was relatively stable and had a certain growth trend to stabilize and slightly recover.More than 90% area of the total was stable and slight recovery, and less than 10% area had different degree of degradation due to the phenomenon of excessive grazing, mainly in the northeast and central of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.(3)FVC in 2007-2011 in Northeast China was relatively stable, with little changes.(4)The vegetation coverage in Northeast China in 2007-2011 was with a positive trend.
