The Impact of Landscape Patterns on the Spatial Differentiation Characteristics of Ecosystem Services:A Case Study of Dongying City
This study focuses on the entire area of Dongying City in Shandong Province,utilizing Landsat remote sensing imagery data from 2000,2010,and 2020 sourced from the Geospatial Data Cloud(https://www.gscloud.cn/),multi-period land use remote sensing monitoring data from the Resource and Environment Science Data Platform(https://www.resdc.cn/),and socio-economic statistical data from the"Statistical Yearbook of Dongying City".The ENVI 5.3 software was applied for preprocessing the satellite imagery data,and the preprocessed data were visually classified using ArcGIS 10.2 software.Based on the actual conditions in Dongying City,land use and land cover types were categorized into five classes:farm-land,wetland,water bodies,construction land,and grassland.Considering four aspects of landscape:area measurement,shape selection,diversity level,and dispersion degree,six landscape metrics were designed:patch density,largest patch index,landscape shape index,separation index,Shannon diversity index,and interspersion&juxtaposition index to eval-uate the landscape pattern characteristics of Dongying City.Using the ecosystem service value as the evaluation indicator and landscape pattern characteristics(landscape pattern index)as influencing factors,the value transfer method was em-ployed to calculate the ecosystem service value of Dongying City based on adjusted value equivalent coefficients.The Ordi-nary Least Squares(OLS)model and Geographically Weighted Regression(GWR)model were used to analyze the impact of landscape patterns on the spatial differentiation characteristics of ecosystem service value in Dongying City.The results indicated:(1)From 2000 to 2020,the area of farmland,construction land,and water bodies in Dongying City increased,while the area of wetlands and grasslands decreased.(2)During the same period,the index changes in the overall land-scape characteristics of Dongying City showed an increase in the largest patch index and landscape shape index,while patch density,separation index,interspersion&juxtaposition index,and Shannon diversity index all declined,with var-ying changes in patch type characteristic index.(3)From 2000 to 2020,the overall ecosystem service value in Dongying City increased by approximately 195 million yuan,with a spatial pattern showing higher values in the northern and eastern parts and lower values in the western and southern areas.(4)From 2000 to 2020,patch density exhibited a negative over-all impact on ecosystem service value,while the interspersion&juxtaposition index only had a positive effect on ecosystem service value(with influence coefficients ranging from 0.04 to 0.45).Both the separation index and Shannon diversity in-dex positively influenced the overall ecosystem service value.
