Differences in Security Order Concepts Between China and the United States and the Construction of Asian Security Order
The construction of the Asian security order is conducive to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and the order concepts of China and the United States are key factors affecting the construction of the Asian security order. In terms of the Asian security order concept,China has proposed the Global Security Initiative, while the United States has put forward the"rules-based international order."The differences in the order concept between the United States and China lie in the former's advocacy for unilateral security, pursuit of hegemonic politics and the promotion of bloc confrontation, and the latter's advocacy for cooperative security, pursuit of Asian coordination, and building of Asian community with a shared future for mankind. Most Asian countries support China's order concept and have doubts about the United States'concept, with only a small number of countries such as Japan,South Korea, the Philippines, and India supporting the United States'concept.Taking into account the characteristics of the Asian security environment, and drawing on the experience of related countries in promoting regional security order,China should uphold the principle of indivisible security in promoting the construction of the Asian security order and re-assure"peace"by strengthening the top-level design;comprehensively utilize"economic"and"security"means to continue to promote security through economy and increase the input of security resources;and intensively and meticulously promote the construction by region and country and balance the influence of Russia and the United States.
