The Impact of the United States'"De-Sinification"Industrial Chain Reshaping Strategy on China-Japan-ROK Cooperation
The ongoing advancement of the United States'"De-Sinification"industrial chain strategy is poised to significantly influence the strategic competition landscape between China and the United States,as well as economic cooperation among China,Japan, and the Republic of Korea(ROK).This strategy has undergone continuous upgrades across multiple American administrations, exhibiting notable consistency in its characteristics and methodologies.By concentrating on critical sectors such as communication technology, semiconductors, automotive industries, electric vehicles, biomedicine, and other goods trade, this paper employs relevant import and export data to analyze the status of trade cooperation involving China with Japan and the ROK alongside that of the United States with the two nations. The findings indicate that by fostering technology sharing and standardization collaboration in key areas with allies and partners, the United States fosters closer cooperative relationships with them and aims to establish a more"diversified"supply chain system while striving to reduce reliance on Chinese supply chains and enhance its own leadership role.Concurrently, within the framework of technological political strategy, there has been a shift from"small-yard,high-fence"to"multi-polar technological alliances,"to systematically compete for new technological hegemony.Analyzing economic cooperation among China,Japan, and the ROK amidst the United States'reconstruction of global industrial chains provides insights into how these three countries are adjusting their economic relations in response to emerging global supply chain dynamics under the U.S."De-Sinification"strategy.Ultimately,a proposed Chinese Solution for enhancing China-Japan-ROK economic cooperation includes deepening trade within the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership framework, promoting the construction of a free trade area among China,Japan and the ROK,expanding collaboration in third-party markets, and strengthening bilateral partnerships in key sectors, which aims to mitigate any adverse effects stemming from adjustments in cooperative models.
