In the treatment of anal fistula,sphincter-sparing surgery can help reduce or avoid damage to the anal sphinc-ter,while maintaining the integrity of the anal anatomical structure and protecting the anal function to the greatest ex-tent possible.However,there are some disadvantages,such as incomplete clearance of fistula,higher postoperative recur-rence rate,and lower long-term cure rate.In recent years,scholars at home and abroad have explored the surgical proce-dures of anal fistula that spare the anal sphincter,and there are already multiple clinical applications reports of related surgical procedures.This article summarizes the research status of sphincter-sparing surgery in the treatment of anal fis-tula based on literature reviews.
