Polypropylene polymer absorbent has superior adsorption capabilities compared to traditional adsorption materials,as it exhibits a relatively fast oil absorption rate and strong oil retention capacity.The absorption performance of polypropylene polymer absorbent for oil products was studied.The water absorption rate and saturated oil absorption rate of polypropylene polymer absorbent were investigated,as well as the effects of temperature,time and oscillation frequency on its oil absorption performance.The results showed that the saturated water absorption rate of polypropylene polymer absorbent was 0.9 g·g-1,while the saturated adsorption capacity of kerosene reached 7.5 g·g-1,and it could reach saturation in about 30 min after oil absorption.The increase of temperature was more beneficial to improve the oil absorption rate of the material,while the oscillation frequency had little effect on its oil absorption performance.In addition,polymer oil-absorbing resin had good absorption capacity for oil products with low viscosity such as kerosene,diesel oil and gasoline,but poor absorption capacity for oil products with high viscosity such as crude oil,edible oil,engine oil and hogwash fat.
