A chemical enterprise in Jiaxing,Zhejiang Province conducted experimental research on the wastewater containing tert butanol produced by the enterprise in order to upgrade its wastewater treatment facilities. The experiment was conducted using a combination of biochemical process and advanced treatment. The biochemical section used the aerobic-hydrolysis acidification-aerobic-MBR process to treat the wastewater. The results showed that the process could effectively remove COD,and the effluent COD was 348.2 mg·L-1 when the hydraulic retention time was 75 h.Hydrolysis acidification could effectively improve the biodegradability of wastewater and enhance the removal ability of organic compounds in wastewater. In the advanced treatment stage,Fenton, ozone oxidation, and reverse osmosis processes were used for experiments. The results showed that Fenton and ozone oxidation processes had poor treatment effects on the wastewater. The reverse osmosis process could effectively treat the wastewater, with COD in the effluent reduced to 11.4 mg·L-1 and conductivity of 246.7μS·cm-1,meeting the reuse water standard GB/T 19923-2005.This process is suitable for engineering standard upgrading and can provide technical support for actual engineering renovation.
