Application Research on New Technology of Mud Solidification Treatment in Pile Foundation Construction
The direct discharge of waste mud from pile foundation construction poses a significant pollution risk and requires treatment. Therefore,an experimental study on mud solidification treatment was conducted on the flocculated and dehydrated waste mud from a pile foundation construction project. The unconfined compressive strength of the solidified body was used as the evaluation index, and the effects of factors such as the type of curing agent, the amount of curing agent added, the water content of the mud slurry flocculated body, curing temperature, and curing time on the solidification treatment effect were mainly investigated. The results showed that the addition of different types of curing agents could improve the unconfined compressive strength of the solidified body, among which the new composite curing agent GT-2 had the best curing treatment effect. When the water content of the slurry flocculent used in the experiment was fixed at 40%,the optimal experimental parameters for the solidification treatment of the waste slurry from the construction of the target pile foundation were as follows:selecting new composite curing agent GT-2,dosage 6%,curing temperature 35℃,and curing time 28 d.Under this experimental condition, the unconfined compressive strength value of the mud consolidated body could reach 0.631 MPa,achieving a good solidification treatment effect. The on-site application results showed that the addition of the new composite curing agent GT-2 could have good solidification effect on the waste mud during on-site pile foundation construction, and the treatment cost was low, with good environmental, economic, and social benefits.
