Study on Preparation of Three Different Schiff-based Covalent Organic Framework Materials and Adsorption Properties of Methylene Blue
Three kinds of different Schiff-based covalent organic framework(COFs)materials(TpPa-1,TpPa-NO2,and TpMA)were successfully prepared by the solvothermal method. The microstructure and composition of COFs were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and X-ray powder diffraction(XRD).The adsorption properties of the three Schiff-based COFs on methylene blue(MB)were further studied. The effects of adsorption kinetics, isotherms, and environmental factors on adsorption properties were studied. The results showed that the adsorption processes of MB by the prepared three Schiff-based COFs all followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model(R2>0.98),which indicated that the adsorption of MB by COFs was a chemical adsorption process.Moreover,TpPa-NO2 exhibited the best adsorption performance for MB,and the adsorption isotherm followed the Langmuir model.Particularly, the saturated adsorption capacity of TpPa-NO2 reached as high as 7 799.28 mg·g-1.Further,the adsorption process exhibited a significant dependency on pH and was facilitated in the alkaline condition. However, the ionic strength had no significant effect on the adsorption process. The findings of this study suggest that TpPa-NO2 is an efficient adsorption material for methylene blue.
