Effect of Cleaning and Stripping Operation on Circulating Water System
Due to the leakage of the heat exchanger in the circulating water field of a petrochemical company,a large number of biological mud was generated to adhere to the equipment and pipelines, reducing the flow rate of circulating water, and generating anaerobic bacteria, resulting in further corrosion and leakage of heat exchange equipment, resulting in a vicious cycle. It is difficult to recover in a short period of time after water quality issues occur in large-scale circulating water systems, leading to further accelerated corrosion of heat exchange equipment. To cope with this situation, the company developed a new sterilization and stripping technology for circulating water equipment, adding biquaternary ammonium salt and sodium hypochlorite and other agents to the circulating water system for sterilization treatment. The agent has the characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity, not easy to be affected by the change of pH value, easy to use, strong peeling effect on the biological clay layer, stable chemical properties, dispersion and corrosion inhibition.Through a series of measures such as stopping the tower and pumping, starting the standby pump, displacing and discharging, the biological mud can be greatly reduced to ensure the stable and high load operation of the production unit.
