Analysis of Total Nitrogen Sources and Treatment in Wastewater Treatment Plants
An olefin plant conducted a systematic investigation and analysis of nitrogen components in wastewater discharged from major production plants such as ethylene and styrene-butadiene plants, the main sources of nitrogen-containing wastewater entering the sewage treatment were identified as ethylene plant,styrene-butadiene rubber plant and butene plant.Through ozonation test, the degradation difficulty of adding nitrogenous additives to ethylene plant and SBR plant was verified, and the nitrogenous additives being difficult to be degraded were effectively replaced, the discharge quantity and water quality of two sets of production units were strictly controlled,so that the discharge of external sewage could reach the standard stably. In this paper, the control conditions of denitrification tank were confirmed one by one and field tests were carried out to verify the effect of denitrification tank on total nitrogen removal under different control conditions, the operation effect and existing problems of the existing denitrification tank were clarified.Through the source treatment of production wastewater and the optimization and adjustment of sewage treatment, the total nitrogen in the external drainage could reach the discharge standard stably, providing some reference for the removal of total nitrogen in other sewage treatment.
