Effect of Calcination Temperature of Rice Husk Ash on Properties of Its Modified Cement Mortar
To investigate the effect of rice husk ash prepared at different calcination temperatures on the properties of cement mortar, the content of amorphous SiO2 in rice husk ash at different calcination temperatures was measured using X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy(XRF)and X-ray diffraction analysis(XRD).The microstructure of rice husk ash was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM)images.Substituting cement with rice husk ash,the mechanical and impermeability properties of rice husk ash modified cement mortar were determined through mechanical and impermeability tests. The influence mechanism of rice husk ash calcination temperature on the performance of cement mortar was analyzed based on the microscopic test results of rice husk ash.The research results showed that when the calcination temperature exceeded 600℃,amorphous SiO2 in rice husk ash transformed into crystalline phase; As the calcination temperature of rice husks increased, the early strength and impermeability of rice husk ash modified cement mortar gradually decreased, but it had no significant effect on its later strength; The optimal calcination temperature for rice husk ash was 600℃.
